Greeting and Announcements

Call to Worship: (Responsively)

Pastor:  The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near,

People:  So, we repent and believe in the good news.

Pastor:  Jesus says, “Follow me, and I will make you fish for people.”

People:  In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit we drop our nets immediately and follow

  Christ. Amen.

~ ADORATION & CONFESSION ~

Prayer of Adoration

Prayer of Confession (Unison)

Adonai, we are more sinful than Nineveh, more stubborn and foolish than Jonah. We scramble after                 wealth, extorting and robbing each other. We act like we have forever, ignoring that the present form of this world is passing away. Jesus calls us to drop everything and follow him, but we’d rather chase after all the wrong things. We’re more concerned about 9 to 5 than about God-Time and God-Work. For the sake of the Crucified One, forgive us. Re-call us. Drive us to answer by putting you first. Amen.

Affirmation of Faith – “The Apostle’s Creed”

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth: And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, Born of the Virgin Mary, Suffered under Pontius Pilate, Was crucified, dead, and buried: He descended into hell; The third day he rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, And sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit; The holy catholic church; The Communion of Saints; The Forgiveness of sins; The Resurrection of the Body, And the Life everlasting. Amen.
