Pastor: You who fear the Lord, praise Him!

People: All you descendants of Jacob, honor Him!

Pastor: Revere Him, all you descendants of Israel!

People: Rescue us from the mouth of lions; save us from the horns of the wild oxen.

Pastor: I will declare Your name to my brothers and sisters.

People: In this congregation I will praise you. Amen. (Adapted from Ps. 22)

~ We Offer Our ADORATION & CONFESSION ~

Prayer of Adoration

Prayer of Confession (Unison)

Merciful God and Our Lord: You know the depth of our thirst for Your love and our desire for Your mercy! We see suffering around us and worry about our vulnerability; we hear hostility near us and recognize our own words; we feel helpless at times to change and fear Your judgment; forgive us O God for the times we have wounded others and damaged our own hearts! Cleanse us of sin for the sake of Jesus Christ. Set us free to serve you in the world as agents of your reconciling love in Jesus Christ to who we now confess those things which weigh heaviest on our own hearts (silent confession of sin . . .) Lord, hear our prayers. Amen.

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth: And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, Born of the Virgin Mary, Suffered under Pontius Pilate, Was crucified, dead, and buried: He descended into hell; The third day he rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, And sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit; The holy catholic church; The Communion of Saints; The Forgiveness of sins; The Resurrection of the Body, And the Life everlasting. Amen.
