November Announcements

ELDER & GREETER for the MONTH:  Elder Ann Davey

The LADIES’ EVENING BIBLE STUDY will meet on November 21 at 7 pm.
In recognition of Veterans Day and the 100th Celebration of the end of WWI, everyone is invited to the MONTHLY CHURCH DINNER, on November 11, immediately following the worship service.  Our hosts, Lissa Derrick and Bonnie Wolfe hope you will join us for great food and warm fellowship.  Bring a friend.
PASTOR BUDDY’S SABBATICAL:  Pastor Buddy has completed his sabbatical and thanks the Congregation for the support and patience while he and Gayle were away.  The entire tour of Scotland was absolutely phenomenal — there was nothing negative about it whatsoever.  Upon returning, his remaining sabbatical time was spent at home resting, studying, and writing while engaging in spiritual reflection and prayer.  At a time in the near future, he will make known to those interested the results of his sabbatical through a presentation.
The LORD’S SUPPER will be observed during this morning’s worship service.  All who have joined with Jesus Christ through their baptism as well as children instructed by their parents are welcome to participate.
The PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN will meet at 10:30am on November 13; Fellowship Hall.
The SESSION will meet at 7:00pm on November 7 in the  Fellowship Hall.
MEN’S BREAKFAST will be held at Rancher’s Steak House on November 7 at 8 am.  All are welcome — bring a friend or neighbor.
A SPECIAL WORSHIP SERVICE—VETERAN’S DAY, will be held on November 11 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I and all our veterans from  various wars and conflicts since that time.  Our goal is to recognize our veterans by name, rank, service, and war/conflict.  If you know of a veteran that will be in attendance that day, please let Elder Gail Johnson or Pastor Buddy know.
Donations of can goods or money for “FOOD FOR FAMILIES” accepted any time

before November 15 when the Gathering Event will be held at the Fire Station.

A special Thanksgiving Eve worship service will be held Wednesday evening, November 21, 6:30 pm, to usher in Thanksgiving Day. This short worship service will emphasize prayer and all that we have to be thankful for. Please join your Brothers and Sisters in Christ in offering praise and thanksgiving to our Gracious God and bring someone with you.
Immediately following worship on November 25, those wishing to help with the “HANGING OF THE GREENS” in the sanctuary for Advent and Christmas are invited to gather in the Sanctuary for a short reflection and prayer service before decorating begins. When complete, a light meal will be served. Please join us in preparing for the church for the special observance as we await the Christ Child. Thanks to everyone who would help in this endeavor.
Will Kacy has agreed to take DIRECTORY PHOTOS ONE MORE TIME on November 18th after the service.  If you haven’t already, please take the time to get your pictures taken so that the directory will be up to date.
